Auto-Responders 101
If you are an internet marketer, then using an auto-responder is probably second nature to you. Set up the right way, it can do all the hard work when it comes to building relationships with your customers.
Auto-responders can be used for more than just “auto responding”. They are sometimes used to manage contacts. They are sometimes used for blasting and managing emails. Also, they take all the manual work out of building and storing multiple lists and email sequences.
There are two different types of auto-responders:
• Auto-responders that you pay for monthly
With this type you don’t have to install it on your server. This could be the least difficult path to take for someone new. You will have a monthly fee to pay while using this one.
Monthly pay auto-responders also have a down side. The number of contacts you acquire may be restricted. Other subscribers may share the IP address with the subscription type auto-responders. If your service provider’s IP address gets blocked, your emails get blocked. Lastly, you may end up paying more in the long run for this type of service than just buying your own server based auto-responder.
• Auto-responders without the subscription
This type has many more benefits than drawbacks. Starting out, there are no restrictions on the amount of contacts that you can build. Second, using a dedicated IP address will prevent you from getting blocked by the email providers because of someone else’s spamming efforts. Unlike subscription auto-responders, you will have better control of your contacts with this type.
More options exist with this type including the option to set how many emails blast out per minute. Email providers may flag and block your IP address if you try to send out too many emails at a time.
You will be able to save time, energy, and money if you know how to choose the right auto-responder. The rewards are definitely worth the effort, so choose carefully so you can start enjoying them.
