Have A Good Team Having a good team is fundamental in accomplishing your dreams ( Business leadership development ) . In this complex corporate world, no one can solve all the question and difficulties. The world is tranfering so fastly that even a group comprising internal professionals is overwhelmed in making an effort to follow and control the changes.
The internal team should also include the use of external consultants and experts to bring in knowledge and skills that are currently not available in the company.
Similar to surgery, a company must successfully lead a team to a turnaround. Turnaround is seldom a one-person show. A majority of well-orchestrated corporate comeback groups are fielded with the excellenct genius from within or outside the firm containing experts like insolvency lawyers, auditors and turnaround consultants.
In the first place,particularly during the surgical stage is to equip the turnaround group by gaining each person on board. It is important to change and it is the feature of a turnaround procesure.
Preferably, the team should comprise the turnaround manager, whether appointed from outside the organisation or seconded internally, the financial controller and other key internal staff. The team should work closely with other stakeholders such as shareholders, creditors and the union work. No matter what the composition,the group must move swiftly such as the SWAT unit. Members are necessary to regularly update each other on the stage as well as procedure of the particular responsibilities of every member. There must be a clear and unchallenged team leader ( Business leadership development ) who has the final say in case of dissenting views.
Flexibility is the key and the group may periodically, as required by the state must change. For instance, once the company turns around and the financial ( Leadership skills training ) crisis blows over, the company may need to transform its corporate culture. The group needed at this level is a change agent. It demands a more democratic and participative group as opposed to the ‘surgical’ group,which calls for a more autocratic one.
