10 steps you should follow to get more twitter followers

One of the most popular methods is to find people and follow them. There is a relation between the people you follow and followers you get, in other words, more people you follow more followers you get. Sounds easy, but if you are only going to follow a mass of twitterers and not provide any value, then many will unfollow you eventually. Pay attention to your following/followers ratio so it does not look suspicious and you do not look like a scammer or a bot which will result in you not getting any followers.
Tip 1- You will be followed if you follow, but do it slowly. It is not wise to follow 500 people a day. Maintain your following /followers ratio close to 1-1. Increase the number of people you follow slowly and do not try to follow 100 more in a day if you follow 100 and have 100 follower, do it over a longer period of time.
Tip 2- Provide others with values, share information and interesting stuff.
If you read something interesting on the web, share the link.
Discuss with others.
Tip 3- Remember to fill in your bio and picture. Your empty profile will make many people to turn away and not follow you. Add a picture and share some info about you. People do not like to talk with someone they do not know anything about.
Tip 4- Create a website and/or start a blog. Your blog will tell people more about you and is a great addition to your bio. Your short Twitter profile can’t show your personality as detailed as your blog.
Tip 5- Make sure you always reply to your followers and re-tweet all the valuable info you find. They will do they same, and you will be visible to their followers.
Tip 6- Become involved in a Twitter party. Never miss a Twitter meetup in your area, always make sure you can participate. It is a great opportunity to meet fellow twitters in person and get new followers.
Tip 7- Share your Twitter username on your social networks, on the forums and blogs, get listed in Twitter directories.
Tip 8- Do not copy others, be you, be original. Don’t be afraid to speak out you mind. Good opinion are replied to or retweeted which expose your name and profile. Make sure your profile looks different, personalize it, change colors and background.
Tip 9- Make sure you tweet regularly. That doesn’t mean you have to tweet 24/7, but try to do it every day. It is important that you update your profile and tweet regularly, otherwise people will stop following you.
Tip 10- Balance it all. If all you do is talk about yourself and what you do or if you only promote your product all the time, people will get tired of you. Try to limit posts about you to about a couple and day, and in other messages post about things that your followers might find interesting.
It is all about having it all balanced.
